Restaurant
Miru, a Japanese restaurant at The St. Regis Chicago, is a celebration of its address, both in terms of the building’s architecture and the textures and motifs of the city’s built environment. Located where the Chicago River meets Lake Michigan, the restaurant provided an opportunity for a design that is residentially-minded in scale and oriented toward the lakeside in its approach.
Grounded in Chicago Modernism, the serene space embraces curvilinear elements inspired by the sinuous form of The St. Regis Chicago tower itself and water views. A warm, neutral palette with richly textured materials and pops of blue dominate the dining, bar, and lounge spaces.
