Rockwell Group designed the 190,000 SF Paddock Club for the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix, which debuted in 2022 and is connected to the Hard Rock Stadium. Our goal was to create a tailor-made, elevated, and luxurious experience to transport VIP guests to the center of the spectacle and thrill of the three-day race, directly above the action of the pit lanes.
The interior of the Paddock is inspired by stylized vintage racing memorabilia infused with the fresh energy and vibrancy of Miami. The undulating ceiling forms were abstracted from the curvature of vintage racing cars of the 1950’s—the start of racing’s golden era and the World Championship system. We conceived an elevated Miami palette, taking tropical tones and patterns and infusing them with the glamour and sleekness of racing events around the world.
