The Architectural League of New York invited the LAB at Rockwell Group to participate in the 2014 Beaux Arts Ball, the League’s annual gala. Held inside Brooklyn's restored Williamsburgh Savings Bank, the Ball featured projection installations by 8 architecture and design firms that celebrated the craft of architecture. The LAB's digital content took a cue from the embellished hardware inside the historic, 19th-century space.
Intricate details of the architecture were extruded using a combination of Cinema 4D, AE and generative effects, highlighting the richness of the piece.
Inspired by the building’s smallest decorative elements as well as its monumental domed form, the LAB created architectural imagery celebrating the ornamental style of the Beaux Arts period.
