Yardbird is a group of James Beard-award winning restaurants serving a fresh, inventive take on classic Southern food. For the Dallas location, Rockwell Group brought in contemporary industrial details with gestures towards year round picnic spaces, lush indoor/outdoor dining, and the communal aspects of American porch culture. The main bar and lounge is a modern reinterpretation of the classic speakeasy, with a spatial strategy that telescopes the energy from the bar into a series of open-plan dining spaces.
