Shawn Sullivan is Partner and Studio Leader at Rockwell Group. Shawn oversees several of Rockwell Group’s design studios in New York and heads up the Los Angeles office. Responsible for many of Rockwell Group’s most enduring projects over the last 25 years, Shawn has deep experience in hotels, nightlife, restaurants, and residences and has become a globally recognized leader in the hospitality industry.

Current projects include Nobu properties worldwide; the transformation of W Hollywood; the first-ever TAO Hotel; a reinvention of Din Tai Fung restaurants; Somewhere Else hotel in the Bahamas; and the hospitality forward Hopkins Student Center for Johns Hopkins University.
Shawn has been instrumental in developing a roster of brands and their presence worldwide including: Nobu, with the flagship Nobu Fifty Seven and Nobu Hotels in Las Vegas, Manila, Miami, and New Orleans; OMNIA nightclubs and dayclubs worldwide; properties for TAO Group from New York to Singapore; Grupo Vidanta, including Mexico’s first-ever luxury cruise line; and Chica, Wakuda, and Yardbird restaurants for 50 Eggs Hospitality Group.
Other notable work includes 1 Hotel Toronto; The Boca Raton resort; Wayan by Cedric and Ochi Vongerichten (New York); the flagship New York EDITION; Waterline Club at Waterline Square (New York); Dream Hollywood; the world’s first Andaz resort; a renovation of the historic Hotel Bel-Air; Belvedere Hotel in Mykonos; Bobby Flay’s Gato; The Library at The Public; Adour restaurants by Alain Ducasse; Morimoto Maui; and Marquee nightclub at The Cosmopolitan Hotel of Las Vegas.
Honors include an AIA New York State Design Awards Citation for the Elinor Bunin Munroe Film Center and Fast Company’s Innovation by Design Awards Honorable Mention for Kimpton Shinjuku Tokyo.
Shawn graduated from Yale University with a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture.
