Following on the heels of the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center in Washington, D.C., we are thrilled to watch the design and construction process unfold at the Hopkins Student Center on the Baltimore campus. Last month we celebrated the building’s topping off and are eagerly anticipating its opening in July 2025.
The Hopkins Student Center was designed by Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), with interior architecture by Rockwell Group. Beyond offering areas for relaxation and socializing, the 150,000-square-foot building will include designated spaces for art programs, media lounges, dining options, and student resources and support services. It will also feature a performance space with approximately 200 seats.
As JHU’s President Ron Daniels said at the ceremony, the Student Center is “a building that will be home to a constellation of open walls, meeting rooms, and gathering spaces to inspire the more than 400 student organizations that live on our campus.”
